BIO

There's a thunderous boom, a cloud of smoke and the fat autumn buck gives up it's life to the hunter. A short distance away the Shawnee war party sets out to investigate, only to find a white intruder clad in buckskins and linen, trespassing on the land they call their own. What happens next is up to your imagination but these are a couple of the images your mind conjures up when you inspect one of Gary's pieces, whether it be a longrifle, pistol, tomahawk, or powder measure.

Gary makes his home nestled in the heart of the Allegheny Mountains of Western Pennsylvania, the same mountains traveled by such individuals as Washingtoin, Fraser, Girty, and Boone. It is from here Gary uses his skills and craftsmanship to create these functional works of art from the 18th century. When re creating a traditional piece, Gary spends a great deal of time researching and examining the original weapon before actually creating it. The outcome is an authentic and historically accurate reproduction of the original piece. With a contemporary piece, Gary manages to preserve the lines and architecture of the school being produced, but at the same time interjects his own individuality and creativity into the carving and engraving of the piece. The result, a one of a kind family heirloom surely to be admired by generations to come.
